TheDateApp ("we", "us", "the app") helps you create and send a personalized date invitation to someone you choose. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. It applies to the TheDateApp mobile app and the invitation web pages we host at thedateapp.netlify.app.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name and email address when you create an account (or the name and email Apple shares if you use Sign in with Apple).
• Invitations you create — the recipient's first name and any customizations you add (opening message, date/activity options, accent color).
• Recipient responses — when the person you invite opens your link, we collect the date, time, and activity they select, and whether they accepted. The recipient does not need an account.
• Notification token — a push-notification token for your device, so we can tell you when your invitation gets a response.
• Support reports — if you report an issue, the category and description you submit.

We do not collect your contacts, location, photos, or browsing activity, and we do not use advertising trackers.

How we use your information

• To create your account and let you sign in.
• To generate invitation links and display them to the person you invite.
• To notify you when a recipient responds.
• To provide customer support and fix problems you report.
• To process purchases of send credits or a premium subscription.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the app:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage of your account, invitations, and responses.
• Expo — delivery of push notifications.
• Apple and Google — sign-in (Sign in with Apple) and processing of in-app purchases.
• RevenueCat — manages and validates in-app purchases and subscriptions.

The invitation you create is, by design, shown to the person you send the link to. Please only send invitations to people you know and intend to invite.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time:

• In the app: Account → "delete account".
• On the web: thedateapp.netlify.app/delete-account.html

Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, your invitations, the responses tied to them, and your support reports. This cannot be undone.

Children

TheDateApp is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. We prohibit any content that sexualizes or endangers minors; see our Terms of Service.

Your rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request, use the in-app deletion option above or contact us at datinginvite@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
